Speeches’ description:

The role of mathematics today concerning contemporary challenges in the science of Electrical and Computer Engineering – Is it worth being a theorist?

Mathematics has always been the basic element in the evolution and development of science and technology. This talk will highlight the most important developments in the field of special functions and statistics and how they have an important role in the science of ECE. It will also refer to the challenges that must be dealt both in terms of the practical difficulty, and the impact of external factors, such as the international economic crisis.

Technological approaches to mobile communications of next-generation (5G)

The main subject of the speech is the technological developments in the field of mobile communications which signaled the advent of 5th Generation Systems (5G). Specifically, it will present an overview of future applications which will constitute a main component of 5G systems and separates them from existing 4G systems. Then the speech will focus on technological specifics of these new applications, with reference to the approaches embraced by industry and research institutions to address the technological challenges arising.

In the posters below, you can find the event schedule and the speeches’ description in Greek.
